ExTrass aims to ensure small and medium-sized cities are better prepared for heatwaves and intense rain. It analyses the factors that inhibit or encourage urban climate adaptation and identifies successful activities. In the cities that are serving as case studies, residents are made aware of the risks through communication, climate-adapted urban planning is encouraged and exchanges between cities are improved.
