Cross-cutting topics
Cross-cutting topics deal with issues of transformative urban development that span a number of topics and activities (not least the focus topics). Urban innovations and transformations provide the context for the networking organised by SynVer*Z on cross-cutting topics in the City of the Future research funded by BMBF. These cross-cutting topics also provide a structure for the synthesis work undertaken by SynVer*Z.
The conditions for innovation and barriers to implementation, as well as synergies and conflicts between areas of action lie at the heart of this collective reflection. Therefore the cross-cutting topics also link up with SynVer*Z’s impact research, highlighting events, groups of actors, strategies and processes, as well as opportunities for reinforcing and consolidating their impact.
